Make screencasts

  1. Press Ctrl+Alt+Shift+R to start recording what is on your screen.
  2. Once you have finished, press Ctrl+Alt+Shift+R again to stop the recording.

Note: A red circle is displayed in the top right corner of the screen when the recording is in progress.

Note: The video is automatically saved in your Videos folder. If you do not have a Videos folder, the video will be saved in your home folder instead.

Make screencasts with Kazam

1. Install PulseAudio Volume Control:

sudo apt install pavucontrol

2. Configure the microphone from PulseAudio Volume Control:

3. Install Kazam:

sudo apt install kazam

4. Select the microphone from Kazam Preferences:
